The STCW 95 Personal Survival Techniques (sea survival course) module provides knowledge of essential prevention and survival techniques.
It includes both theoretical and practical sessions, investigating causes of distress, knowledge, and use of equipment, launch, and recovery of life rafts, preparation for survival, personal survival skills, and use of search and rescue organizations.
The STCW95/2010 Personal Survival Techniques course forms a key part of the STCW Basic Safety Training course, which comprises the essential certifications you will require if entering the maritime industry for the first time. Please ask us about the full course if you require further details.
This course contains some exercises that are physically demanding. All candidates must be able to swim and tread water.
